...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following
parishes, Assumption, Central Plaquemines, Central Tangipahoa,
Coastal Jefferson Parish, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana,
Eastern Ascension, Eastern Orleans, Iberville, Lower Jefferson,
Lower Lafourche, Lower Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard, Lower
Tangipahoa, Lower Terrebonne, Northern Livingston, Northern St.
Tammany, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, Southeast St.
Tammany, Southern Livingston, Southwestern St. Tammany, St.
Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John The Baptist, Upper
Jefferson, Upper Lafourche, Upper Plaquemines, Upper St. Bernard,
Upper Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, West Feliciana,
Western Ascension and Western Orleans and southern Mississippi,
including the following areas, Amite, Northern Hancock, Northern
Harrison, Northern Jackson, Pearl River, Pike, Southern Hancock,

* WHEN...Through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple round of heavy rain are expected across much of the
area through Thursday afternoon. Much of the area near and
north of Interstate 10 has received over three inches of rain
already, and additional totals of 1 to 3 inches are likely
with higher amounts possible.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Pearl River near Bogalusa.

* WHEN...From Thursday evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Woodlands and crop acreage along the river
will be flooded. The Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management area will be
inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Thursday evening and continue rising to a crest of 20.5 feet
Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
