Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana from 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM... At 405 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located along a line extending from 15 nm east of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port to 58 nm southwest of Southwest Pass Of the Mississippi River, moving west at 20 knots. Locations impacted include... Louisiana Offshore Oil Port. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.
