...Heavy Rains...Potential Flooding...Gusty Winds...Lightning... At 255 PM...Paducah radar showed scattered to numerous thunderstorms impacting portions of the Evansville Tri-State area. The main impact is heavy rain, which, when it repeats over the same areas, makes localized flooding more likely. A stronger storm may also contain small hail and winds gusting up to 45 mph are possible, as recently occurred in Owensboro. Practice storm safety and seek high ground immediately if heavy rains cause rising waters in your area.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will develop across southern Illinois and western Kentucky. Areas that see thunderstorms could receive 1.5 to 3.0 inches of rain in just one or two hours, with locally higher amounts up to 4 inches possible. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
