At 1226 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Red River Gorge to Rockcastle Springs, moving east at 65 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Beattyville. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... In southeast Kentucky, Magoffin, Morgan and Wolfe. * WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1121 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Excessive runoff will cause minor flooding of small streams and creeks, roads, and roadside culverts. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mount Sterling, Paintsville, West Liberty, Stanton, Inez, Sandy Hook, Frenchburg, Henry, Lewis, Jeffersonville, Camargo, Clay City, Wellington, Salt Lick, Warfield, Campsites in the Indian Creek area of the Daniel Boone National Forrest, Lick Branch, Pomp, Licking River and Index.
