...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR SPENCER, DAVIESS AND HENDERSON COUNTIES... At 419 PM CDT, amateur radio reported thunderstorms produced heavy rain including multiple roads submerged in the Richland City area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Public reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Evansville, Owensboro, Henderson, Rockport, Dale, Grandview, Corydon, Whitesville, Robards, Stanley, Eureka, St. Joseph, Masonville, Knottsville, Santa Claus, Chrisney, Gentryville, Hebbardsville, Moseleyville and Pleasant Ridge. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
