In northeast Kentucky, Johnson and Martin. In south central Kentucky, Laurel, Pulaski and Rockcastle. In southeast Kentucky, Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Jackson, Knott, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe. * WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rounds of showers and thunderstorms containing torrential downpours are expected to impact the area Tuesday afternoon and evening. A widespread 1 to 2 inches of rainfall is anticipated across the watch area. However, localized amounts of 3 or more inches are possible in locations repeatedly impacted by the heaviest rainfall.
