* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and
southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, in east
central Kentucky, Bath, Elliott, Estill, Fleming, Menifee,
Montgomery, Powell and Rowan. In northeast Kentucky, Johnson and
Martin. In south central Kentucky, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski,
Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell,
Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie,
Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe.

* WHEN...Through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms producing
locally heavy rainfall are expected through the rest of the
weekend. Already wet soils in some areas will make these
locations more susceptible to flooding.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM EDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following
counties, Breathitt, Jackson, Owsley and Perry.

* WHEN...Until 215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1105 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
McKee, Booneville, Buckhorn, Major, Scoville, Turin,
Conkling, Southfork, Endee, Blake, Levi, Chestnut Gap,
Eversole, Sturgeon, Vincent, Travellers Rest, Gobbard,
Ricetown, Cowcreek and Green Hall.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
