At 825 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong winds near
Elizabethtown, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Elizabethtown, Bardstown, Radcliff, Lebanon Junction, Samuels Field
Airport, Long View, Scuffletown, Deatsville, Bellwood, and Withrow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central
Kentucky. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 300 AM EDT for
central Kentucky.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana, including the following
county, Harrison and central Kentucky, including the following
counties, Bullitt, Hardin, Jefferson, Meade, Nelson, Shelby and
Spencer.

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 808 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.1 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Louisville, Jeffersontown, Shelbyville, Shepherdsville,
Middletown, Douglass Hills, Brandenburg, Pioneer Village,
Hurstbourne Acres and West Buechel.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Jessamine, Madison, Mercer and Woodford. In north central
Kentucky, Hardin, Larue, Nelson and Washington KY. In northwest
Kentucky, Ohio. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren,
Butler, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Grayson, Green,
Hart, Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Simpson,
Taylor and Warren.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

- Rounds of showers and thunderstorms containing torrential
rainfall will impact the region through tonight.  Some
locations may receive multiple rounds of heavy rainfall
leading to high water and flash flooding.
