West to southwest winds will gust as high as 35 mph the remainder of this afternoon, with localized gusts to 40 mph possible in more exposed locations such as ridgetops. This may be strong enough to cause difficulties with some outdoor travel, especially where cross winds occur. Winds will gradually diminish with the loss of daytime heating and mixing late this afternoon into the evening.

In southeast Kentucky, Clay, Jackson, Lee and Owsley. * WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of larger creeks, streams, especially in low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 139 PM EDT, Flooding is ongoing in the warned area, as 2 to 4 inches of rainfall had occurred in the past 24 to 36 hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Somerset, London, Irvine, Mount Vernon, Beattyville, Manchester, McKee, Booneville, Boone, Fincastle, Science Hill, Ravenna, Middlefork, Carico, Ardery, Parrot, Eberle, Cruise, Dango and Templer.
