forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Saline River at Tescott.

* WHEN...Until late Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Low lying areas near the river flood.
At 28.5 feet, 30th Road bridge over the Saline River floods.
At 29.0 feet, Southern parts of the city of Tescott are affected
by flood waters.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 27.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.7
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
late tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mulberry Creek near Salina.

* WHEN...From this evening to Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Widespread agricultural flooding can be
expected. Depending on if high flows are present on the Saline
River this may backup water on Mulberry Creek which would cause
the property on the KOA campground to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:16 PM CDT Monday the stage was 18.4 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this evening to a crest of 26.5 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
evening.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

* WHERE...Portions of Central and South Central Kansas, including
the following counties, in Central Kansas, McPherson and Saline.
In South Central Kansas, Harvey and Reno.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is likely.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 827 PM CDT, Between 1 and 4 inches of rain fell over the
warned area Monday. This is likely causing some localized
flooding of typical flood-prone areas.
- No additional rainfall is expected.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Salina, Hutchinson, Mcpherson, Hesston, Lindsborg, South
Hutchinson, Moundridge, Inman, Buhler, Nickerson, Burrton,
Galva, Canton, Assaria, Gypsum, Partridge, Sylvia, Smolan,
New Cambria and Plevna.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Some low lying rural county roads begin to
flood along with extensive field flooding.

- At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 5.4 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Wednesday morning to a crest of 24.3 feet early
Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
early Thursday morning.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.

* WHERE...Smoky Hill River near New Cambria.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening to early Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Niles Road south of Stimmel Road near the
gage site begins to flood. Also expect extensive flooding of
low-lying areas and croplands. Within the city the following roads
become flooded, Railroad Street and Mill Street, First Street and
Second Street and Cunningham. Dependent on high flows coming down
from Saline River, Old Highway 40 may flood about a foot deep from
Simpson Road to Niles Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 6.9 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow evening to a crest of 30.3 feet Wednesday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following
counties, Ellsworth, Lincoln and Saline.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 542 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated very heavy rainfall
from earlier slow moving thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing
in the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Salina, Ellsworth, Kanopolis, Brookville, Beverly, Barnard,
Falun, Glendale, Westfall, Kanopolis State Park, Kanopolis
Lake and Ellsworth Airport.
