...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Kansas, including the following
county, Franklin.

* WHEN...Until 945 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 734 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible
in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ottawa, Wellsville, Centropolis, Pomona, Richmond,
Williamsburg, Princeton, Lane and Rantoul.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Kansas, including the following counties, in central
Kansas, Dickinson. In east central Kansas, Anderson, Coffey,
Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Lyon, Morris, Osage, Shawnee and
Wabaunsee. In north central Kansas, Clay and Ottawa. In northeast
Kansas, Brown, Jackson, Jefferson, Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie
and Riley.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms capable of very heavy rain continue through the
evening. Widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are
likely, with a few areas of 3 to 5 inches. There is a low
chance of very isolated rainfall
totals in excess of 5 inches.
