* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Arkansas River at Arkansas City.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Flooding of agricultural lands can be
expected with bank overflows on west side of river. West Chestnut
Avenue west of the river floods, expect road closure.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.7 feet and steady.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tonight and continue falling to normal levels by
Tuesday.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Slate Creek at Wellington.

* WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flood waters cover several low lying spots
along Seneca Road between 40th and 60th Street just southeast of
Wellington. Woods Park within the city floods. Slate Creek comes
to roadway's edge at mile marker 15 on the the Kansas Turnpike.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:01 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 20.4 feet and falling.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this afternoon and continue falling to near normal levels of
around 5 feet on Tuesday.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
