In east central Kansas, Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Lyon, Morris, Osage, Shawnee and Wabaunsee. In north central Kansas, Clay and Ottawa. In northeast Kansas, Brown, Jackson, Jefferson, Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie and Riley. * WHEN...Through late Friday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms capable of very heavy rain are expected to develop Thursday afternoon and evening, lingering overnight into early Friday morning. Additional heavy rain is possible Friday afternoon and evening. Widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are likely, with a few smaller areas of 3 to 5 inches. There is a low chance of very isolated rainfall totals in excess of 5 inches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
