...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 AM CDT
FOR MCPHERSON...NORTHEASTERN RICE...SOUTHEASTERN ELLSWORTH AND
WESTERN MARION COUNTIES...

At 151 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Mcpherson to Marquette to near Assaria to 6 miles
southwest of Carlton to near Durham, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Mcpherson, Lindsborg, Moundridge, Inman, Galva, Canton, Marquette,
Little River, Goessel, Geneseo, Lehigh, Windom, Durham, Mcpherson
Airport, Roxbury, Kanopolis Lake, and Kanopolis State Park.

This includes Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 43 and 77.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and east central Kansas, including the
following counties, in central Kansas, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Marion,
McPherson and Saline. In east central Kansas, Chase.

* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Large complex of storms is expected to move across central
Kansas tonight, producing high rainfall rates and associated
flooding.
