...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Salt Creek at Barnard.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 23.6 feet, Water covers 270th Road between Highway
284 and Union Drive located 2 miles southeast of Barnard. Also
250th Road floods from Highway 284 near the Salt Creek Bridge to
Wolf Lane. Expect road closure on Highway 284 just east of the
creek bridge from 250th Road to 260th Road due to creek overflow
of 2 to 3 inches deep.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 23.8 feet and has
crested.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Saturday afternoon and continue falling to 19.9 feet Sunday
evening.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Areas of flooding caused by Monday's excessive rainfall
continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following
counties, Ellsworth, Lincoln, McPherson, Rice and Saline.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of various rivers, creeks, streams, and other
low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Various roads
remain closed due to flooding. Some low-water crossings may be
inundated with water and not passable. Expect areas of slow moving
or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 557 PM CDT, Areas of flooding continue across portions of
central and north-central Kansas, where up to 10 inches of
rain occurred Monday.
- No additional rainfall is expected.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Lyons, Sterling, Marquette, Little River, Geneseo,
Brookville, Beverly, Alden, Barnard, Falun, Glendale,
Frederick, Kanopolis Lake, Kanopolis State Park and Westfall.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't
drown.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
