...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Kansas, including the following counties, Grant, Morton, Stanton and Stevens. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1039 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen and areal flooding is expected to persist through Tuesday morning. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... mainly rural areas of Southwestern Grant, Northeastern Morton, Southeastern Stanton and Northwestern Stevens Counties - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
