...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Big Blue River near Blue Rapids.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding occurs from
Marysville to Tuttle Creek Lake.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 27.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 33.8 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall tomorrow evening. It will rise to
40.9 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall again but
remain above flood stage.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING TO LATE SUNDAY
NIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Blue River near Barnes.

* WHEN...From Thursday evening to late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Lowland agricultural flooding occurs from
15th Road and Zenith Road in Washington County to Waterville in
Marshall County. At 17.0 feet, Farm field, 4.5 miles north of
Barnes, on the west side of Highway 148 floods north of the river.
At 19.0 feet, Farm field, 4.5 miles north of Barnes, south of the
river and east of Highway 148 floods. At 21.0 feet, Minor flooding
of farm fields along the Little Blue River...south of the Sunflower
Road Bridge in Marshall county. At 23.0 feet, Sunflower Road floods
about 250 feet east of the Little Blue River in Marshall county.
Farm field, 4.5 miles north of Barnes, floods north of the river
and west of Highway 148 in Washington county.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 11.3 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall to 11.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will
rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to 20.4 feet early
Saturday morning. It will then fall Saturday morning. It will
rise to 21.0 feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall below
flood stage Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Black Vermillion River near Frankfort.

* WHEN...Until Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Minor flooding of lowland areas occurs
along the river from Vermillion to the mouth of the Black
Vermillion River. At 26.0 feet, The west bank of the river floods.
At 27.5 feet, Area in the vicinity of 19th Terrace and Vista Roads
floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 22.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.8 feet
just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
late tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Multiple rounds of heavy rain with an increasing potential
for flooding.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Kansas, including the following counties, in central
Kansas, Dickinson. In east central Kansas, Geary, Morris, Shawnee
and Wabaunsee. In north central Kansas, Clay, Cloud, Ottawa,
Republic and Washington. In northeast Kansas, Brown, Jackson,
Jefferson, Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie and Riley.

* WHEN...Through Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A slow-moving, moisture-laden system is expected to bring an
additional 1.5 to 3 inches of rain with locally higher amounts
around 4 inches. This on top of already saturated ground for
locations that saw the heaviest rain last night would see an
increased risk for flooding.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Marshall County in northeastern Kansas...

* WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1215 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain had
fallen in the advisory area. Minor flooding is already occurring.
Highway 87 and 99 are closed in the Vermillion area due to
flooding. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Marysville, Blue Rapids, Frankfort, Waterville, Axtell, Beattie,
Vermillion, Oketo, Lillis and Bremen.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
