...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of north central Kansas, including the following counties, Jewell and Smith. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1142 AM CDT, gauge reports indicated continued high water levels along the White Rock Creek in Jewell county. This is due to heavy rain in thunderstorms Sunday night. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain fell over the area Sunday night, but no additional rainfall is expected through at least Wednesday Night. - As of 1045 AM CDT, the White Rock Creek near Burr Oak was at 19.5 feet.
