through the evening.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Kansas and north
central, northwest, and west central Missouri.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high

The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity,
which is in effect from noon today to 6 PM CST this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Kansas, Fire Weather Zones 025, 057, 060,
102, 103, 104 and 105. In Missouri, Fire Weather Zones 020,
028, 029, 037, 043, 044, 053 and 054.

* TIMING...From noon today to 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* WIND...Wind gusts of 45 to potentially 55 mph are expected this
afternoon.

* HUMIDITY... Humidity values will drop as low as 20-25% this
afternoon.
