* At 145 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1
inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by showers and thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Hiawatha, Horton, Wetmore, Everest, Robinson, Whiting, Netawaka,
Goff, Powhattan, Willis and Kickapoo Reservation.

* At 1253 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding from
showerse and thunderstorms in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2.5
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1
inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly. Highway 24 at Excel Road in Pottawatomie
County was flooded.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Kansas, including the following counties, in central
Kansas, Dickinson. In east central Kansas, Geary, Morris, Shawnee
and Wabaunsee. In north central Kansas, Clay, Cloud, Ottawa,
Republic and Washington. In northeast Kansas, Brown, Jackson,
Jefferson, Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie and Riley.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- One more round of rain is expected today. Widespread additional
totals of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected, with isolated totals of
around 3 inches. Coupled with the 1 to 4 inches of rain that has
fallen across most of the Flood Watch area over the past 36
hours, flooding remains possible.
