...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO LATE SUNDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego.

* WHEN...From late tonight to late Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Xavier Road leading north from the river
gage bridge floods in that immediate vicinity. Also 13000 Road
along the north side of the river bank floods. West of the town of
Faulkner, homes along 120th Street between Star Road and Clem Road
begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 20.8 feet early
Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early
Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
counties, Cherokee and Crawford and southwest Missouri, including
the following counties, Barton and Jasper.

* WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 215 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsburg, Girard, Frontenac, Arma, Liberal, Cherokee, Weir,
Mulberry, Scammon, Mccune, Mindenmines, West Mineral,
Sherman, Chicopee, Franklin, Roseland, Burgess, Lone Oak,
Ringo, Beulah, Yale, Polk, Croweburg, Opolis, Carona, Hannon,
Verdella and Prairie State Park.
