* At 753 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Washington,
or 12 miles north of Petersburg, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

At 711 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to 4 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Knox, Martin, Sullivan, Clay, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Vermillion and
Vigo.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
