* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southwestern Bartholomew County in central Indiana...

* WHEN...Until 1015 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 608 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bedford, Nashville, Shoals, Loogootee, Oolitic, Montgomery,
Cannelburg, Alfordsville, Avoca, Silverville, Williams,
Harrodsburg, Owensburg, Fairfax State Recreation Area,
Bartlettsville, Smithville, Huron, Indian Springs,
Heltonville and Monroe Reservoir.

25...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Edwardsport.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night to Monday, May 25.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water is at critical levels for makeshift
levees.  Most of bottomlands flood.  Old Vincennes road and State
Road 358 between Plainville and Edwardsport are impassable by
several feet.  High water surrounds river cabins.  This type of
flood occurs on average about once a year.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM EDT Monday /6:00 PM CDT Monday/ the stage was 9.8
feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Wednesday morning to a crest of 20.4 feet Thursday
evening. It will then fall below flood stage Monday, May 25.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 23.5 feet, County Road 100 N leading to Shawnee Field
floods.  High water affecting other roads near the White River in
Greene County also.  Extensive flooding of river bottomlands.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is no current observed data.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tonight to a crest of 23.6 feet early Thursday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON TO EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Newberry.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, County Road 550 S in Greene County begins
to flood.  County Road 600 W just north of the river flooded by
possibly more than a foot of water for a short distance in Mary
Long Cutoff Area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM EDT Monday the stage was 6.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 17.7 feet early Thursday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

MAY 27...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon to Wednesday, May 27.

* IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, County Road 250 West from State Road 56
floods and blocks the vehicle access to Dodge City.  During the
March 2008 flood the river remained above this level from late
afternoon March 19 through April 9.   As mid-March 2011 high water
was receding...SR 257 south of Washington reopened when Shoals was
at 10.5 feet and falling steadily for the past 2 days.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM EDT Monday /6:45 PM CDT Monday/ the stage was 10.8
feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Wednesday afternoon to a crest of 19.9 feet Saturday
evening. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday, May 26.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
