...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Randolph County in east central Indiana... * WHEN...Until 330 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1132 AM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the warned area from thunderstorms Wednesday. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Winchester, Union City, Parker City, Farmland, Lynn, Ridgeville, Saratoga, Losantville and Modoc. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... High water affecting a small portion of River Road just east of SR 1 and north of the river. Water is within a few feet vertically of the approaches to SR 1 bridge in western Randolph county. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:00 AM EDT Thursday was 11.3 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this morning to 6.7 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then rise to 6.8 feet late tonight. It will fall to 6.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then rise to 6.6 feet tomorrow afternoon.
