...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT TO FRIDAY,
MAY 29...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River near Rivervale.

* WHEN...From late Thursday night to Friday, May 29.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, All county roads across or located in the
East Fork White River flood plain flood.  Flooding of agricultural
land becomes extensive. The county road on northside of gage
floods and gage may be inaccessible except by boat. Local
residents in nearby river cabins must park on higher grounds.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 17.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Friday morning to a crest of 25.2 feet Sunday evening.
It will then fall below flood stage Thursday, May 28.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Northern Martin County in southwestern Indiana...

* WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 954 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between
0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Vincennes, Bloomfield, Bicknell, Odon, Lyons, Elnora, Oaktown,
Bruceville, Plainville, Sandborn, Edwardsport, Switz City,
Newberry, Crane, Burns City, Freelandville, Owensburg, Solsberry
and Vincennes University.
