...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/
SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. A band of 8 to 11 inches of additional
accumulations peaks roughly from around Perryville, Missouri
across Southern Illinois to the Evansville Tri-State region. 4 to
7 inches of snow, mixed with sleet, is forecast further south
across southern portions of southeast Missouri and much of west
Kentucky. Periods of heavy sleet in far southeast Missouri and
western Kentucky this evening through midday Sunday will add up to
an inch. Freezing rain from the Missouri Bootheel to Southern
Pennyrile is possible, amounting to up to a quarter inch from
Calloway to Todd Counties in west Kentucky.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and may become impossible
at times. Extreme cold will exacerbate the danger.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can
be obtained by visiting www.weather.gov/pah/roads

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 2 to 8 below zero. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously
cold wind chills as low as 10 to 18 below zero expected. Maximum
wind chills today through Monday are forecast to be in the
positive single digits for most of the Quad State.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until midnight CST /1 AM
EST/ Sunday Night. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from midnight CST
/1 AM EST/ Sunday Night to 10 AM CST /11 AM EST/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 18 below zero could
result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Frostbite and
hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these
temperatures. The winter storm will exacerbate these dangers.

Make frequent checks on family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators inside.
