...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT /10 AM CDT/ THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of northern Indiana, including the following areas, Adams, Blackford, Cass IN, Fulton IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Miami, Pulaski, Starke, Wabash and Wells. * WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT /10 AM CDT/ this morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Brief rainfall rates up to 1 inch per hour are possible this morning. Saturated conditions continue across the area due to recent heavy rainfall. River Road and a few county roads are closed by high water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 11.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM EDT Saturday was 11.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
