...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississinewa River near Ridgeville.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Lowland agricultural flooding along CR 100
W just north of the river.  High water affecting a small portion
of River Road just east of SR 1 and north of the river.  Water is
within a few feet vertically of the approaches to SR 1 bridge in
western Randolph county.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 8.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 11.0 feet late this evening. It
will then fall below flood stage late tonight.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Delaware County in east central Indiana...
Henry County in east central Indiana...

* Until 200 PM EDT.

* At 1147 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Muncie, New Castle, Yorktown, Chesterfield, Knightstown, Albany,
Eaton, Daleville, Spiceland, Gaston, Selma, Shirley, Kennard,
Sulphur Springs, Mooreland, Lewisville, Mount Summit, Straughn,
Dunreith and Cadiz.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Muncie.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Riverview and McCulloch Parks, including
park roads, begin to flood.  Backyards of houses in Yorktown along
Buck Creek begin to flood.  Backyards of houses and outbuildings
along White River in Muncie begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 10.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 AM EDT Saturday was 11.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Tuesday morning and continue falling and remain below flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

possible.

* WHERE...Much of central Indiana

* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rainfall is expected this morning through tonight
which will lead to additional flooding. This is potentially a
very dangerous situation, and citizens should remain aware of
conditions in their area and be prepared to take immediate
action if rising water threatens or warnings are issued.
