East Central Harrison County in south central Indiana... Northwestern Bullitt County in central Kentucky... Southwestern Jefferson County in central Kentucky... * WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 427 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Shively, Shepherdsville, Pioneer Village, Hollyvilla, South Park View, Valley Station, Fairdale, Pleasure Ridge Park and Pleasure Ridge Par. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... At 411 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Pleasure Ridge Park, or 10 miles southwest of Louisville, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Louisville, Shively, Pioneer Village, Hollyvilla, South Park View, Valley Station, Pleasure Ridge Park, Pleasure Ridge Par and St. Dennis. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
