Jay County in east central Indiana... Cass IN County in north central Indiana... Fulton IN County in north central Indiana... Southwestern Marshall County in north central Indiana... Miami County in north central Indiana... Wabash County in north central Indiana... Southwestern Adams County in northeastern Indiana... Southern Huntington County in northeastern Indiana... Southern Wells County in northeastern Indiana... Southwestern La Porte County in northwestern Indiana... Pulaski County in northwestern Indiana... Southern Starke County in northwestern Indiana... Northeastern White County in northwestern Indiana... * Until 300 PM EDT /200 PM CDT/. * At 1132 AM EDT /1032 AM CDT/, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen over the past 24 to 36 hours with some areas seeing as much as 4 to 6 inches locally. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area as additional showers and thunderstorms continue to develop and move over the same areas. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT /10 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, including the following areas, Adams, Allen IN, Blackford, Cass IN, Fulton IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Marshall, Miami, Northern Kosciusko, Pulaski, Southern Kosciusko, Southern La Porte, Starke, Wabash, Wells and Whitley and northwest Ohio, including the following areas, Allen OH and Van Wert. * WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT /10 PM CDT/ this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - 2 to 5 inches of rain fell across much of the area yesterday with isolated pockets of over 6 inches. Additional heavy rain is possible later this morning and again during the afternoon. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible in thunderstorms.
