...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING
THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of around 6
inches are possible for most areas. Areas east of I 69 and south
of US 30 have the greatest potential for accumulations exceeding 6
inches.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

* WHEN...From Saturday evening through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you
must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will
keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to
reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a
hat will keep you from losing your body heat.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero expected.
Locations west of IN 15 could see wind chills as low as 25 below
zero this morning.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills during the afternoon will range
closer to 10 to 15 below zero before falling again overnight. This
morning will be the coldest period.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
