* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, including the following
areas, Allen IN, De Kalb, Eastern St. Joseph IN, Elkhart, Fulton
IN, Lagrange, Marshall, Noble, Northern Kosciusko, Northern La
Porte, Pulaski, Southern Kosciusko, Southern La Porte, Starke,
Steuben, Western St. Joseph IN and Whitley and southwest Michigan,
including the following areas, Branch, Cass MI, Northern Berrien,
Southern Berrien and St. Joseph MI.

* WHEN...From 11 PM EDT  /10 PM CDT/ this evening through Saturday
afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Within the past three days, about 2 to 4 inches of rain has
been recorded in portions of the watch area. Additional rain
and thunderstorms through Saturday morning will worsen any
ongoing flooding. About 1 inch of rain is expected.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Flooding of lowland and farmland near the
river increases.

- At 12:25 PM EDT Friday the stage was 11.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tonight to a crest of 13.9 feet early Sunday afternoon.
It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Saint Joseph River Ohio near Newville.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Significant flooding occurs on DeKalb
County Road 42 about 3 miles northeast of Newville. Considerable
agricultural and low land flooding occurs along the St. Joseph
River to the Cedarville Reservoir.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:25 PM EDT Friday the stage was 13.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 12:25 PM EDT Friday was 13.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.2
feet early Monday afternoon.

WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Saint Marys River near Decatur.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon to Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, County Road 225 North...just north of
Pleasant Mills Indiana is closed by flood water. Low land areas of
Kekionga Park on the southeast side of Decatur begin flooding.
Flooding is limited to farm land in Pleasant Mills Indiana and
Willshire Ohio.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:25 PM EDT Friday the stage was 16.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 16.5 feet this afternoon.
It will then fall to 16.3 feet this evening. It will rise
above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 18.2 feet early
Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday
morning.
