...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Hamilton County in central Indiana... * WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 554 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield, Cicero, Fortville, Sheridan, Arcadia, Atlanta and Morse Reservoir. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...White River at Anderson. * WHEN...Until early Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Record flood is in progress. Northeast and northwest portions of Anderson are under water. Water is several feet deep in residential, commercial, and municipal areas. SRs 109, 32, 9 and I-69 could be the only roads open over the White River. Many roads are impassable. Bridges may also be impassable or not safe for traffic. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 22.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:30 PM EDT Thursday was 22.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.2 feet just after midnight tonight. Flooding of basements occurs with water possibly extending to the first floor. State Road 19 begins to flood. Most local roads near Fall Creek in southwest Madison, southeast Hamilton and northeast Marion Counties are flooded worse than December 2013.
