Henry County in east central Indiana... * WHEN...Until 1130 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1135 PM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbus, Shelbyville, New Castle, Rushville, Edinburgh, Knightstown, Hope, Flat Rock, Geneva, Morristown, St. Paul, Carthage, Spiceland, Shirley, Elizabethtown, Kennard, Sulphur Springs, Mooreland, Lewisville and Hartsville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... In east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry and Randolph. In north central Indiana, Carroll. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain, Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren. * WHEN...Through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rainfall is possible Saturday morning through Saturday evening of which could lead to additional flooding. ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Big Blue River at Carthage. * WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, A frequent high water level. This occurs about two or three times a year. Local roads near the Big Blue River flood. Water surrounds a few homes in Carthage, enters dog houses in southern Carthage and affects used auto parts yard in Carthage. Water is in yards in the southern outskirts of Knightstown and extreme eastern Raysville. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:30 PM EDT Friday was 11.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood &&

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE MONDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Driftwood River near Edinburgh. * WHEN...Until late Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.2 feet, Lowland flooding in progress along Driftwood River in northern Bartholomew County on April 6, 2011. Double Y Saddle Club area flooded. At least 6 inches of water flowing over CR 950N to Club. Water is less than one foot away from CR 330W just south of its intersection with Ohio Ridge Rd. CR 500N west of CR 250W is flooded blocking vehicular access to residences near the river bank. Lowell Public Access site is open but ramp is totally flooded. Water close to one residence at Shelby CR 1000S and CR 900W. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.7 feet tomorrow evening. Rural flooding of a few homes near CR 100N and Boggstown Road on April 21, 2011. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Friday the stage was 15.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Friday was 15.9 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 17.3 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon to 8.5 feet Monday evening. It will rise to 8.6 feet Tuesday morning.
