Belleville Road and East Flowing Well Road northwest of Warren become impassable and isolated nearby residences. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 12.9 feet just after midnight tonight. Southeastern Pulaski County in northwestern Indiana... Eastern White County in northwestern Indiana... * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 256 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across portions of the warning area. Although the heaviest rain rates are ending, lighter rain over the next couple of hours, combined with runoff will cause high water and flash flooding in some areas. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Marion, Logansport, Peru, Hartford City, Gas City, Upland, Fairmount, Dunkirk, Grissom Afb, Albany, Jonesboro, Redkey, Sweetser, Walton, Swayzee, Bunker Hill, Royal Center, Matthews, Mexico and Lincoln. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT /10 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, including the following areas, Adams, Allen IN, Blackford, Cass IN, Fulton IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Marshall, Miami, Northern Kosciusko, Pulaski, Southern Kosciusko, Southern La Porte, Starke, Wabash, Wells and Whitley and northwest Ohio, including the following areas, Allen OH and Van Wert. * WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT /10 PM CDT/ this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - 2 to 5 inches of rain fell across much of the area yesterday with isolated pockets of over 6 inches. Additional heavy rain is possible later this morning and again during the afternoon. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible in thunderstorms.
