...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of western Shelby, Monroe, Morgan, Brown, Johnson, northwestern Bartholomew, southeastern Hendricks, southern Marion and northwestern Jackson Counties through 630 PM EDT... At 544 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Plainfield to 8 miles west of Martinsville to 7 miles south of Spencer. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Indianapolis, Bloomington, Columbus, Shelbyville, Greenwood, Plainfield, Franklin, Martinsville, Mooresville, Southport, Nashville, Ellettsville, New Whiteland, Edinburgh, Whiteland, Bargersville, Brooklyn, Princes Lakes, Trafalgar, and Monrovia. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding.
