...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern Indiana, including the following
counties, Allen IN, Huntington and Whitley.

* WHEN...Until 430 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 129 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fort Wayne, New Haven, Columbia City, Tri-lakes, Huntertown,
Churubusco, South Whitley, Woodburn, Monroeville, Grabill,
Aboite, Leo-cedarville, Middletown, Roanoke, Zanesville,
Dixon, Larwill, Arcola, Rolling Hills and Wallen.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
