At 451 PM EDT/351 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Santa Claus, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Ferdinand, Birdseye, Saint Marks, Sassafras, Bristow, Celina, Mentor, Adyeville, Apalona, and Siberia. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
