This occurs about two or three times a year. Local roads near the Big Blue River flood. Water surrounds a few homes in Carthage, enters dog houses in southern Carthage and affects used auto parts yard in Carthage. Water is in yards in the southern outskirts of Knightstown and extreme eastern Raysville. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:30 PM EDT Friday was 11.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood &&
