...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northern Indiana, including
the following counties, in north central Indiana, Kosciusko. In
northern Indiana, Elkhart and Marshall.

* WHEN...Until 500 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 159 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Goshen, Plymouth, Nappanee, Bremen, Syracuse, Milford,
Millersburg, New Paris, Benton, Locke, Gravelton, Hastings,
Foraker, Waterford Mills, Oakwood Park, Inwood, Lake Of The
Woods and Linkville.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...The risk for flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues overnight.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, northwest Ohio and southwest
Michigan.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM EDT /5 AM CDT/ early this morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall
rates up to 1 to 2 inches per hour will be possible
overnight. The highest chance for flooding will be in urban
areas.
