At 810 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Darien to near Joliet, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Joliet, Orland Park, Lockport, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Mokena, Lemont, Burr Ridge, Willowbrook, Willow Springs, Tinley Park, Frankfort and Frankfort Square. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northeastern Illinois. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, with rain rates up to 1 to 3 inches per hour.
