* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Maximum daily heat indices of 107 to 115
Wednesday and Thursday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and southeast Illinois,
including the following counties, in central Illinois, Shelby. In
east central Illinois, Cumberland. In southeast Illinois, Clay,
Crawford, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland.

* WHEN...Until noon CDT today.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and
flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rain continues across the portions of the watch on areas that
already saw more than 2 inches of rain earlier this evening.
Additional rain up to 1 inch is possible through sunrise.
