For the Gale Warning, west winds to 45 kt and significant waves to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft expected. A few 50 kt storm force gusts possible overnight Sunday night. * WHERE...Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor IL, and Calumet Harbor IL to Gary IN. * WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 AM CST Sunday. For the Gale Warning, from 6 PM Sunday to 10 PM CST Monday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low visibility will make navigation difficult. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions. If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog signals. A few gusts to 55 mph possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana. * WHEN...From 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ Sunday to 6 PM CST /7 PM EST/ Monday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
