...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas,
Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, Mercer and Warren, southeast Iowa,
including the following areas, Des Moines, Henry IA, Jefferson,
Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Van Buren and Washington, and northeast
Missouri, including the following areas, Clark and Scotland.

* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Some of the
flooding may be significant.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rounds of rain with embedded thunderstorms will occur across the
area through Saturday morning with peak hourly rates between 1 to
2 inches from the strongest storms. Rainfall totals will vary
considerably across the watch area. The hardest hit areas along
and north of Highway 34 could receive 5 to 8 inches of rainfall
with isolated higher amounts possible. Flash flooding is a risk
with an increased chance of river and creek flooding.

Monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash
Flood Warnings be issued.
