* WHAT...Dangerously hot and humid conditions with heat index values
up to 110 possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northwest, and west central
Illinois, east central and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight low temperatures Tuesday
night/Wednesday morning may not fall much below 75 degrees, which
would also maintain heat stress on the human body during the
overnight hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
