...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM CDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Marion County in south central Illinois... * WHEN...Until 815 AM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 815 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy flooded roads in the advisory area due to recent thunderstorms. This has caused urban and small stream flooding. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. This product replaces the Flash Flood Warning that recently expired. - Several roadways throughout the county are impacted by flood water and will remain closed through tonight. If you approached a flooded roadway, do not drive around barricades or attempt to cross, as only a small amount of water can stall a vehicle. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Centralia, Salem, Sandoval, Wamac, Central City, Odin, Kinmundy, Patoka, Farina, Omega, Stephen Forbes Station, Fairman, Helm, Tonti, Iuka, Junction City, Alma, Kell, Vernon and Walnut Hill.
