* At 701 PM CDT, mulitple severe thunderstorms were located across
the warned area, and all were moving east to northeast at 25 to 30
mph.

HAZARD...Quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

* Locations impacted include...
Ottawa, Peru, La Salle, Mendota, Marseilles, Sheridan, Lake
Holiday, Seneca, Somonauk, Earlville, North Utica, Serena, Leland,
Naplate, Millington, Dayton, Troy Grove, Triumph, Harding, Wedron,
Prairie Center, and Norway.

TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas,
Central Cook, DuPage, Eastern Will, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee,
Kendall, La Salle, Northern Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook and
Southern Will and northwest Indiana, including the following
areas, Lake IN and Porter.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall
rates up to 1 to 2 inches per hour will be possible from late
this afternoon until late this evening. The highest chance
for flooding will be in urban areas and locations that
received heavy rainfall over the last several days.

A Flood Watch for flash flooding means rapid-onset flooding is
possible, but not yet certain, based upon the latest forecasts.
Flash flooding is a dangerous situation. Persons with interests

latest forecasts and be prepared to take action should flooding
develop.
