...STRONG WINDS EXPECTED OVER EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS THROUGH 5 PM... Strong gradient winds are occuring on the back side of the showers and thunderstorms in east central IL. Expect east to southeast winds gusting 45 to 55 mph at times through 5 pm, especially from I-57 east and north of I-70. Secure loose objects and watch for possible falling tree limbs with these gusty winds. Travel may be difficult for high profile vehicles like semi trucks.
