Counties through 500 AM CDT...

At 353 AM CDT, the public reported strong thunderstorms along a line
extending from near Oxford Junction to West Branch. Movement was east
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Iowa City, Tipton, West Branch, Mechanicsville, Stanwood, Lowden,
Wheatland, Olin, Delmar, Wyoming, Oxford Junction, Lost Nation,
Calamus, Bennett, Welton, Toronto, Rochester, Buchanan, Clarence, and
Dixon.

This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 249 and 278.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
