...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central Illinois, including the following county, McLean. * WHEN...Until noon CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 521 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible this evening and overnight in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bloomington, Normal, Le Roy, Heyworth, Danvers, Downs, McLean, Stanford, Ellsworth, Central Illinois Regional Airport, Shirley, Holder and Moraine View State Park. - This includes the following State Parks... Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 515 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible this evening and overnight in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
